About me.
I’m Jeremy McHugh, an AI security researcher and builder based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
My work brings together security research and software engineering. I’m interested in how AI agents interpret information, use tools, and establish trust—and how those systems can be made more dependable.
I served four years on active duty in the US Air Force, working in IT and cybersecurity operations. I later studied telecommunications at Penn State and completed a doctorate in cybersecurity at Marymount University, with research focused on defensive AI.
Pittsburgh is home. Away from research and software, ice hockey has been a lifelong interest.
